Brand new for 2018/2019, EyeSoc is the University of Southampton's Ophthalmology society. We are run by medical students of all years, and aim to provide further insight into this speciality for our colleagues.
We are working hard to run a variety of different events that will provide more information about the speciality, provide key ophthalmic skills and advice for year 4 placement, assist those looking to take the infamous Duke of Elder exam, and more! We hope to be able to cater to all students, whether you're dead set on ophthalmology or would just like the opportunity to hear more about what's involved.
We encourage you all to get involved with our plans for this year. We're open to suggestions and are excited to see this society grow over the next few years :).
Eyesoc: A career in Ophthalmology
Our first event is being held November 1st 2018. This is a great opportunity to meet the team and hear from experienced ophthalmic clinicians about the work they do, how they got there and hints and tips for getting specialist posts.
Duke of Elder Training Session
Coming in 2019. Like us on Facebook for more details on this and other events we're holding this year.
