CardioSoc is a newly revamped, student-led society interested in all things cardiovascular. We aim to promote careers in cardiology to students via a range of events throughout the academic year. Through our links to wider cardiology-focussed organisations, we will hold workshops and talks delivered by a variety of cardiologists, aiming both to further the scientific and clinical knowledge of those in attendance and also to enlighten them regarding what a career in cardiology may involve. Furthermore, we intend to run fundraising campaigns throughout the year to raise money for cardiovascular research and care! We encourage anyone with even the slightest interest in cardiology to come along and get involved, and we welcome ideas and suggestions!
Our first event is A Hearty Introduction to Careers in Cardiology:
Ever considered a career in cardiology? Want to find out more about what one of the best careers medicine has to offer? Or maybe you’re just looking for free snacks? Either way, come along to our first event of the year on November 12th.
We've got a whole host of guest speakers from a variety of cardio-related specialities lined up to try and capture your hearts. They'll be telling you all there is to know about what their careers involve... the highs, the lows, and how to get there in the first place.
If the thought of this makes you slightly tachycardic with excitement, then SIGN UP using the link below, and keep an eye on our Facebook page/event each week as we release speaker profiles. Certificates will be provided to everyone in attendance. And don't forget this is a great networking opportunity! Hope to see you there x
Other events during the year may include further career talks, ECG workshops, conferences, academic talks, fundraising events and more.
